Our History

The Lionshare Leadership Group, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, was launched out of a desire by David Buehring, and several other leaders from the ministry and marketplace arenas, to serve leaders via specialized training, walk-alongside mentoring, and creative and practical resources. Since its inception in June of 2001, Lionshare has hosted numerous training opportunities for young and seasoned leaders, is engaged in coaching/investing in leaders throughout the country and is in the process of developing unique resources to further their vision of cultivating a different kind of leader…who finishes well.

Our Vision

The Lionshare Leadership Group is a non-profit organization that aims to shape leaders in the ways of God so they are equipped to live and lead with character, perspective and wisdom within the domains of culture where they have been appointed by God to serve.

Our desire is to cultivate a different kind of leader – one whose reference point is a seasoned compass anchored in the ways of God, who lives life through a grid of finishing well, and deliberately passes on to others – via mentoring relationships – what God has given them.

‘God Glorified – People Honored and Served’
We believe that there are a Dozen Domains within each society through which God can be glorified (‘enhancing God’s reputation in the eyes of others’) and people can be honored and served. These domains each have their own ‘strands of DNA’ which represent, among other things: 1) specialized gifts/skills to serve with, 2) products and/or services to offer others, 3) unique platforms of influence, 4) relationships to enjoy and team with, and 5) a mission to be accomplished.

Our Values

Growing within a Relational Context

We believe that the most effective way of learning is in the context of relationship, friendship and community, therefore we desire to create contexts for leaders where relational heart-links can grow and develop.

Referencing the Ways of God

We affirm that God’s ways, as revealed in the scriptures, are available to every person to discover and have application in every segment of society: family, church, government, education, arts/entertainment/sports, media and business.

Modeling Servant Leadership

We are convinced that true leadership is really about ‘serving people towards God’s ways and purposes’ so they can better fulfill what they have been appointed by God to be and do – and it all begins with the way we serve each other as a team.

Prioritizing People

We humbly recognize the value of people and our need for others to help us accomplish what we have set out to do, and we delight in the opportunity to team with their strengths and to honor their significance and contributions.

Living with Integrity

We are committed to live our lives, carry out our responsibilities, and relate to others in a way that is genuine and truthful, and we seek to do our very best in everything we put our hands to while at the same time learning from our mistakes.

Gleaning from Seasoned Leaders

We draw on the years of experience and wisdom from seasoned leaders, while at the same time embracing the journey of discovery with leaders of all ages who bring fresh vision, insights, ideas, and abilities to advance God’s Kingdom.

We consider the deliberate passing on to others of what one has been given as non-negotiable, necessary, and essential within their sphere of relationships for the purpose of replicating God’s ways and purposes for generations to come.
