The Dozen Domains
What do you mean by the Dozen Domains?
God has created each of us unique. According to the Scriptures, He has deposited special abilities, skills and gifts within each of us, and a distinct calling to fulfill for His purposes. Combine that with our heritages, personalities, experiences and spheres of influence and it makes for sharp arrows in God’s hands!
As we examine individuals and the culture that emerges within groupings of people, we find that there are various outlets to express the gifts and callings of those living within it. When considered, there seems to be a ‘dozen domains’ which embody the various expressions that serve a society today – each can be influenced and shaped by God’s ways through godly leaders. Like the twelve gates that needed repairing and restoring in the book of Nehemiah, these twelve domains represent areas of a country’s culture that need to be freshly aligned with the ways of God through godly leaders so God is glorified and people are honored and served.
These Dozen Domains each have their own distinct ‘strands of DNA’ which uniquely reveal the character of God and represent: 1) Specialized capacities to serve others; 2) Products, services and wisdom to bless others; 3) God-given influence to shape and lead others; 4) Relationships to enjoy and team with others; 5) Strategic missions to be accomplished for others.
